You spend a lot of time dreaming about the perfect trip
Many of us will daydream about being in exotic or exciting places, which is understandable when the weather is cold and wet, and when you don’t see the daylight because of work. If it starts to become a regular habit though and you can’t focus on anything else it’s time to make that perfect trip a reality. Wherever it is that you want to go, start looking properly and saving up the money. Life needs to be full of fun and adventure after all.
You find it hard to get up in the mornings, especially Monday
Regardless of whether you are an early bird or not, getting up in the mornings can be a bit of a struggle. Finding the motivation to get ready for the day ahead can be tough, especially on a Monday after you’ve had a little bit of a reprieve over the weekend. A holiday will give you something to look forward to and work towards though so once you book something it’ll make getting out of bed in the mornings easier.
Your weekends consist of sleeping or drinking too much
When your sleep patterns start to become disjointed and you have trouble getting to sleep or waking up, your body is telling you that it is tired and in need of some time out. Having a hectic schedule at work or outside of work means that there is less time to relax and this relaxation time is very important. If your weekend becomes a blur of sleep or alcohol something needs to be done!
You follow too many holiday accounts on Instagram
Forever looking at holiday snaps? Constantly following new travel accounts on Instagram? Spending large amounts of time looking at other people’s holidays only makes you want to go away even more. Feelings of jealousy are common but don’t get left feeling bitter. Avoid following too many of these accounts as it will only boost negative feelings within you, until you can be that annoying person always adding holiday pictures!
You lose your calm pretty quickly at the littlest of things
Finding it hard to stay calm in certain situations is proof that your tolerance levels are low and you need the chance to get away for a bit. Losing your patience quicker, getting frustrated at the littlest of things, or even starting arguments for no reason are common traits when you are under a lot of stress. Try not to take things out on other people though; a break will do your health some good!
